Cassandra Welling

Cassandra Welling, JD, RN, WCN

Cassandra is a registered nurse and licensed attorney who assists clients from intake to initial case filing.

Cassandra’s dual certification allows her to bring a unique perspective to both Medical Malpractice and Elder Law cases: She has the know-how to clearly and concisely identify legal issues and prepare clients for the often difficult and draining process of litigation, and has the medical background to explain the medicine behind why things went wrong. Cassandra has extensive experience as nurse working in one of the nations busiest Emergency Departments. She is committed to representing those who have been negatively affected by neglect, negligence and substandard care because of her experience in the nursing industry. As Cassandra likes to say, She’s “seen it first hand,”  and so she “believes in the fight.” Cassandra is a Tempe, Arizona native and loves being outdoors. When she’s not fighting the good fight, Cassandra enjoys spending time with her family and a broad assortment of family pets, which include fish, cats,  dogs and horses.

Experience

Cassandra’s experience began outside of the law. She was a critical care nurse for more than 20 years before deciding to take her clinical experience into the legal world. While she loves the law, Cassandra still has one foot in the medical world and actively works in the acute care setting. Currently, Cassandra splits her time between her full time work with victims of medical malpractice, a clinical nursing practice, and a job as a clinical professor at Arizona State University and Maricopa Community College.
